On Friday, April 11, the Baltimore Orioles squared off against the Toronto Blue Jays in a Major League Baseball game. The Blue Jays bested the Orioles, winning by a score of 2-0. The Baltimore Orioles’ three-time All-Star center fielder Adam Jones had a rough day at the plate, going 0-for-4, but Jones still did well as he paid homage to the late great Ultimate Warrior.

The game was contested in Oriole Park at Camden Yards, meaning that Jones and the rest of the Orioles would have their own walk-up music played, when coming to bat. Throughout the game, Jones’ walk-up music was the theme song for the Ultimate Warrior.

Adam Jones has not been shy about being a pro wrestling fan, and has built a very good relationship with WWE. In fact, the company hooked up Adams with a special WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt, and WWE.com has footage of Jones with the title.

Editor’s Note

I applaud Jones for his actions, as it was a very unique and special way to pay tribute to Ultimate Warrior.
