According to a report by PWInsider.com, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Chris Sabin is leaving IMPACT Wrestling.

He finished up with the company this weekend after taking part in the “One Night Only” pay-per-view taping events.

The report indicates that TNA had offered Sabin a new deal, but just like what happened with A.J. Styles, the offer was too low.

Sabin is one of only seven stars in TNA history (Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Eric Young, Abyss and A.J. Styles) to win the World Championship, X-Division Championship and World Tag Team Championship.

Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, two guys that have also been with the company since its inception, may be on the way out as well.

Editor’s Note

While Chris Sabin had quite a bit of championship success in TNA, he was never really considered a top-tier guy. Defeating Bully Ray for the World Championship at “Destination X” could have been the start of something great, but that push ultimately fizzled out. With TNA looking to push some of its new stars, there was really no place for Sabin on their shows, even with the lowball offer he received.
