According to a report by ProWrestling.net, former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz is still working for the company.

He was apparently backstage at the “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view on Jan. 25. His role with WWE has been rather consistent as of late.

Gewirtz was removed from his role as head writer in 2012. The report notes that he continues to be involved as a contributor to the creative direction of the company.

He even spends one day a month in-person.

When The Rock returned to WWE to work both WrestleMania 28 and 29, Gewirtz was responsible for helping write his promos.

Whenever The Rock appears on WWE programming, Gewirtz is always there.

Editor’s Note

If Rock continues to be in and around WWE, you better believe that Gewirtz will have value.
