On Sunday, Feb. 22, WWE will air the first ever “Fastlane” event, which has replaced “Elimination Chamber” as WWE’s annual February pay-per-view. The event will be free to new subscribers of the WWE Network, as the company recently announced that the month will be free to those among the WWE Universe that sign up for the 24/7 live streaming platform.

On the live special Jan. 29 showing of “Smackdown,” WWE announced a Divas Championship match for “Fastlane.” At the event, Divas Champion Nikki Bella will look to successfully defend her championship gold in a singles match against Paige. Both Divas have held the Divas Championship twice, and did battle at the 2015 “Royal Rumble,” in a tag team bout. The Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie, defeated Paige and Natalya via pinfall. Better yet, The Bella Twins dominated most of the match.

The bout joins John Cena vs. Rusev as the only other confirmed match for “Fastlane.” Additionally, Triple H and Sting are set to meet face-to-face in Memphis, Tennessee at the FedExForum for the pay-per-view.

Editor’s Note

I figured we would see either Paige or Natalya get a crack at Nikki’s Divas Championship at “Fastlane.” With WrestleMania approaching, I doubt we see a title change at the event.
