As announced at the UFC 181 pay-per-view on Dec. 6, former WWE superstar Phillip “CM Punk” Brooks has signed a multi-fight deal to compete for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Brooks’ wife, former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee, tweeted out the following as she watched her husband answer questions at a press conference following the show:

His first official fight will come in 2015, although an exact date has yet to be revealed.

He was expected to meet with UFC president Dana White during the show to talk about potentially coming onboard. It appears that a deal may have been struck weeks prior, though.

There are rumors circulating that AJ may be leaving World Wrestling Entertainment in the near future, perhaps even after “WWE: Tables, Ladders, Chairs and Stairs” on Dec. 13.

Editor’s Note

Can we please have an AJ Lee vs. Ronda Rousey fight? No? Well, I tried.
