Former WWE announcer Josh Mathews has been seen around TNA offices over the past several months, as speculation began to mount he was on his way to the Nashville-based company. Additionally, further reports began to surface claiming he had in fact been tabbed to be the new voice of “Impact Wrestling.”

Mathews has now taken to Twitter, where he has seemingly confirmed his involvement with “Impact.”

As noted earlier, it also had been unconfirmed as to whether Taz would be returning to the announce table with former voice of TNA Mike Tenay on his way out. Mathews, who worked with Taz in TNA, has also insinuated the former brawler would be joining him.

Tickets are currently on sale for the first set of “Impact Wrestling” tapings on Destination America, which will be held in New York City.

Editor’s Note

It will be an interesting announce team for sure, but they should have solid chemistry. Let’s find out.
