If you listen to the rumblings and the grumblings and the rumors, the WWE already has quite a few things in the works for WrestleMania 33. However, according to the scuttlebutt being reported by the likes of Dave Meltzer, none of those plans involve Roman Reigns.
Now, that’s not to say Reigns won’t be part of WrestleMania. He’s one of the biggest stars in the company, whether you like it or not. Reigns will definitely be there, and he will likely be a big part of the event. The WWE just hasn’t solidified those plans yet, even though WrestleMania is now less than 100 days away. Perhaps the lack of direction now is because Reigns has a huge match at Royal Rumble. Reigns has a match with Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Title, and Reigns could find himself both Universal and US champion after that. Hey did you remember that Reigns is US champion? You could be forgiven for forgetting Reigns does anything other than wrestle Owens now.

So it’s entirely possible Reigns will be Universal Champion at WrestleMania, which means he will surely have a huge match, although the WWE probably hasn’t decided who it will be with. The actual Royal Rumble match could have a say in that, too. If you want to know what Reigns future holds, the Royal Rumble will likely shed some light on that.
