What Did WWE Think Would Be the Response to This Poll?

The internet loves AJ Styles. He’s got a lot of “street cred” due to his incredible career, and he has now risen to the top of the WWE. Even though he’s technically a heel, “AJ Styles” chants abound during Smackdown, although the fact he’s now feuding once again with the polarizing John Cena definitely helps tilt the crowd in his favor. However, even when it comes to more well-liked wrestlers than Styles, everybody still seems to be in his shadow.

Take, for example, a recent poll on WWE.com. The question asked “Who do you think has been the better world champion for their respective brand?” The choices, of course, were Kevin Owens, the champ on RAW, and Styles, the champ on Smackdown. Now, people like Owens. He’s quite popular. And yet, his popularity is evidently dwarfed by Styles.

At the moment, Styles has 91 percent of the votes in the polls. It’s a runaway. Needless to say, Styles is extremely popular. Not all that long ago, Styles also dominated a poll asking who should main event WrestleMania, a poll that was taken down by the WWE website. Clearly, if you ask the internet a wrestling question, and AJ Styles is a choice, AJ Styles is going to be the answer.
