Seth Rollins will face off with Chris Jericho at Roadblock: End of the Line. These are two of the bigger names on RAW, but there is something notably lacking from this match; stakes. Sure, Rollins and Jericho have some “bad blood,” but there’s nothing else really on the line. In particular, this match is not for a belt, and for Rollins that’s quite unusual.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, the last 17 singles matches Rollins has had at a pay-per-view event has had a title on the line. Sure, during that time, there has been pay-per-views where Rollins hasn’t been in a singles match (like at Survivor Series) and Rollins has missed some events with injury, but that’s still quite impressive. It shows you how long Rollins has been one of the most highly thought of wrestlers by WWE, and how rare it is to see Rollins in action at a pay-per-view without a belt being on the line.
Don’t get used to it. Rollins will almost assuredly score the win over Jericho, and then could very well be next in line for a shot at the Universal Title, presuming Kevin Owens beats Roman Reigns at Roadblock. Rollins may be bring a (admittedly pretty convoluted) streak to be an end, but he will likely be starting a new streak in short order.
