At this point, it is pretty much a safe bet to say that The Undertaker will lace up his boots at least one more time and compete at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. According to the Wrestling Observer, Undertaker will be cometing against John Cena. While this match will indeed by special, particularly because it has never happened at the grandest stage, as well as the two not really crossing paths much with the exception of Cena’s early WWE days, many feel that it may be a few years too late.
Last year, the Undertaker vs. Reigns WrestleMania 33 match kicked off at the Royal Rumble, when Undertaker was eliminated by Reigns, and they had a staredown following the elimination. This would led to an encounter on Raw, and a match inside the Citrus Bowl. At the conclusion of WrestleMania 33, Taker would be defeated by Reigns, and ceremoniously disrobe, strongly indicating that it was his final match in the WWE.
You can view the drawing the first strike in their feud below.
Since it is pretty much a lock that the WWE Universe will see Undertaker vs. John Cena at WrestleMania, unless plans change, WWE will be using these preceding weeks to further build up the angle.
As we saw with the feud between Cena and Reigns, Cena called Undertaker an “old man with a busted hip.” This could be a prefect segue into their feud, as The Undertaker will return to make Cena eat his own words.
According to PWInsider Elite, Undertaker will not only appear at the 25th Anniversary of Raw, but he is also expected to be at the Royal Rumble. Whether this is to continue his feud with Cena, or be in the match, is still unknown, but him making an appearance almost certainly indicates that he will be used in some capacity.
