Devin Taylor, an interviewer for NXT, received notice of her release on Friday morning as confirmed to Pro Wrestling Sheet by the WWE.
While her profile has been removed from WWE.com, an article still remains on the site, in which she said:
“My goal here is to take WWE by storm. I want to interview and wrestle on Raw, SmackDown, pay-per-views, and of course, one day, WrestleMania, I’d even like to have my own show on WWE Network. For me, nothing is off limits. There are big things in store for this little reporter!”
The writer, Byron Saxton, capped off the article by writing: “From where our money sits, we wouldn’t bet against her.”
Cal Bishop, who wrestled two tapings on NXT, also received his walking papers the site reported. Bishop, whose real name is Clayton Jack, a product of Reno, wrestled 13 matches total with NXT, mostly house shows.
On the February 28, 2014, Bishop tagged with Travis Tyler against Konnor and Viktor during an NXT taping. On the March 13th, he appeared in another taping against the same opponents, but instead chose Wesley Blake as his partner. Regardless, Bishop and his respective partner lost both times during the taped bouts.
According to PWS, the WWE did not give clear reasons for the releases, nor is there any indication as to what comes next for the two.
Editors Note: Clayton Jack from Reno is a way cooler ring name and gimmick than whatever Cal Bishop had going on. Just saying…
