The NXT debuts just keep on coming.

According to fans in attendance, after much speculation, independent women’s wrestler Athena made her NXT debut at the live event this evening in Winter Haven, Florida. Athena teamed with Gionna Daddio in a losing effort against Alexa Bills and Peyton Royce.

Fans claimed that Athena looked really good in the ring, and shared the following photos via Twitter:

In addition to Athena’s debut tonight, NXT has debuted several superstars over the past few weeks including James Storm and Asuka.

Storm, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, debuted with NXT during this week’s television taping-even though it is not confirmed if he has signed a WWE contract as of yet.

Asuka, former Japanese female star, signed a NXT contract a few weeks ago, while also making her debut.

With the NXT brand becoming a world wide phenomenon, expect to see more debuts in the near future.

Editor’s Note:

The popularity of NXT is constantly growing, especially with these tours increasing fan awareness. This infusion of new talent into NXT will undoubtedly improve the quality of wrestling we see on WWE programming, and I am excited to see what the future holds for NXT. Triple H has done an amazing job!
