This week, WWE has been on one of its international tours. On Friday, WWE had a live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, whose event would not be forgettable for long-time WWE referee Charles Robison. According to a report by F4WOnline, which has been confirmed by Robinson himself, he nearly lost his thumb due to a freak injury.
The website is reporting that when Robinson was setting up the ring for the event, he sliced his thumb critically. In fact, he sliced his thumb in such a bad way that he nearly lost it. However, thankfully, WWE Dr. Chris Amann was on the tour and able to stitch up Robinson’s thumb.
Late Friday night, following the event, both Robinson and Amann tweeted about the incident.
Below is a tweet from Robinson in which he reveals he had received six stitches. Warning: This tweet involves a graphic image of the injury that may not be suitable for some.

Dr. Amann also tweeted a less graphic image, providing a behind-the-scenes look at his work on Robinson. Goldust is even on hand to help, who Amann calls one of his “favorite surgical assistants.”

Editor’s Note
Thankfully, it appears that Robinson was able to get the necessary treatment to heal his thumb. Hopefully Robinson will be able to make a full recovery in a timely manner.
