As previously reported on Saturday, Jan. 10, WWE was said to be close to agreeing to a partnership with mixed martial arts apparel retailer Tapout, stylized TapouT. Both WWE and Tapout would make similar statements when rumors swirled about a potential deal. The two companies simply said they have nothing to announce at the moment, and that they were both exploring several business opportunities.

A recent report from F4WOnline has provided an update on the situation between Tapout and WWE. According to the website, the deal partnering the two companies is currently being finalized. With the deal in its final stages, fans of the two companies should be expecting an announcement any time in the near future, possibly within a week. The deal will see the MMA-centric apparel brand become WWE’s new partner as a pro wrestling clothing brand.

There is no word on when any WWE clothing or apparel will be released by Tapout, following the partnership being announced. With WrestleMania 31 fast approaching, WWE Superstars and Divas may very well have their own Tapout merchandise hitting shelves for the WWE Universe, in time for WWE’s grandest spectacle.

Editor’s Note

I’m intrigued to see what kind of clothing Tapout has made for WWE’s talent.
