Update on Batista Returning to WWE

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Batista will not be making his long-awaited return to the WWE any time soon. If Batista were to make a return, expect it to be in early 2014 in time for WrestleMania season. A close friend of Batista notes that there will be no return of Batista if “The Animal” if he has any plans or projects going on in early 2014. This would include his film career, which is currently his main focus. The six-time World Champion is set to star in the upcoming film, Guardians of the Galaxy. However, the film will not be in theaters untill August of 2014.

Batista left WWE in 2010 because he was not thrilled with the direction the company was going in. Batista’s last match was against John Cena at Over the Limit in an “I Quit” Match. After failing to strip Cena of his WWE Championship, Batista left the company the next night on Monday Night Raw.
