Following his actions on the March 5 “Smackdown,” Stardust walked into the March 9 edition of “Monday Night Raw” in possession of the Intercontinental Championship. This continued the storyline for the prestigious title at WrestleMania 31, which has seen the title physically change hands on numerous occasions. On the grandest stage of them all, Bad News Barrett’s gold will be on the line in a multi-man Ladder match.

While Stardust would not come out of the March 9 episode of “Monday Night Raw” with the title in his possession, his participation in the multi-man Intercontinental Championship Ladder match at WrestleMania has now been confirmed. WWE.com broke the story during the evening of Tuesday, March 10, prior to the day’s “Smackdown” taping getting underway.

Stardust joins five other WWE Superstars vying for the Intercontinental Championship at the “Show of Shows:” titleholder Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler, and R-Truth. There has been no official word from WWE as to whether or not there will be any more additions into this bout. Through the past couple weeks of WWE programming, Daniel Bryan has been involved in this storyline, but has yet to be officially added to the match.

Editor’s Note

No surprise here. Only thing that remains to be seen is if rumored stars like Daniel Bryan, Goldust, and Sheamus are added to the picture.
