Each year, Pro Wrestling Illustrated, abbreviated PWI, releases rankings for the year’s best wrestlers in both the male and female divisions. As noted in late September, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan topped the “PWI 500,” which ranks the best 500 wrestlers, both male and female, in the industry.
Now, Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s “Female 50” for 2014 has been released. The “Female 50” counts down the 50 best women wrestlers in today’s professional wrestling world. Subscribers to PWI received digital copies of the February 2015 issue of the magazine on Thursday, Nov. 13. Within it, is the 2014 “Female 50.”
The top 10 of the “Female 50” goes as follows:
- Paige
- AJ Lee
- Gail Kim
- Cheerleader Melissa
- LuFisto
- Angelina Love
- Ivelisse
- Courtney Rush
- Natalya
- Charlotte
Paige, who was ranked 12th in 2013, climbed all the way up to the top spot. Her first big rival in WWE, AJ Lee, was ranked second, up seven spots from 2013. Last year’s winner, Cheerleader Melissa, one of the most prominent women in the independent circuit, fell to number four.
Paige already took to Twitter to comment on receiving the high honor, thanking everyone who has gotten her to this point:

Editor’s Note
Awesome to see Paige get such a high honor, before her first full-year on the WWE main roster comes to an end.
