On the Aug. 18 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” it appeared a new feud began for the up-and-coming Rusev. Following his impressive victory against Jack Swagger in a Flag match at “SummerSlam,” Rusev will now have to set his sights on the “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry. During “Raw,” Henry confronted Rusev and his manager, Lana. Eventually, the two would come to blows, with Henry standing tall at the end.

According to a report by PWInsider, the segment between Rusev and Mark Henry was added to the script for “Raw” in the late afternoon, during re-writes. Even further, it was reportedly a very late decision, and a feud between the two was not even planned at the time. Though, the two were rumored to have a feud at “Money in the Bank,” but it would not come to fruition. Now, it looks like the two will be feuding, leading to “Night of Champions.”

On a related note, the website’s report also notes that there were many re-writes of the Aug. 18 “Raw” script, a lot more than usual. Similarly, for “SummerSlam,” there were reportedly a lot of last minute changes and cuts to the pay-per-view.

Editor’s Note

“Raw” was a pretty good show, so the re-writes must have been for the better.
