Finn Balor has had terrible luck since joining the main roster. He’s wrestled in less than 10 matches on WWE television, and he suffered a significant injury in two of them. His first one came at the hands of Seth Rollins at this past August’s SummerSlam — the injury caused Balor to miss roughly eight months of action. The second one happened this past Monday night, as he suffered a concussion during a match with Jinder Mahal, and now it looks like he’s going to be out of action for an extended period of time once again.

On Saturday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the dangers of being seen as injury prone by Vince McMahon. He also said that if Balor gets injured again when he returns, Vince may actually begin to see him as a guy who’s injury prone.

“[Finn Balor] showed up and he had the shoulder surgery, and then in his second TV match back he gets hurt again, so it’s like… I hope he doesn’t get hurt one more time because you don’t wanna have that thing in Vince’s head that you’re injury prone. It doesn’t kill you, because Vince has that thing in his head about other people and they still get pushed to a degree. But it does temper him from going all the way with somebody.”
