Rumor: This is the Post-Royal Rumble Plan for Mickie James

As everyone predicted, the SmackDown La Luchadora ended up being Mickie James. So, even though she got over huge when she returned at NXT Takeover: Toronto, WWE decided to bring her back as a heel.

It’s unclear how long her heel run will last, but it probably will last for quite a while, because, according to Cageside Seats, Mickie is set to feud with Becky Lynch all the way through WrestleMania.

Cageside Seats also noted that Nikki Bella will likely be in the SmackDown Women’s Championship picture, so it doesn’t look like Mickie will turn on Alexa Bliss anytime soon either.

The blue brand hasn’t announced a Women’s Championship match for the Royal Rumble, so it’s unclear if Becky Lynch will get another shot at Alexa Bliss on January 29, or if she’ll be in the ring with Mickie James. But, they’ll almost certainly be working against each other at the Elimination Chamber show next month.
