Watch: WWE Superstars Who Broke the Ring

There’s more than one way to do it. This past week on “Monday Night Raw”, Braun Strowman superplexed the Big Show with the impact breaking the ring. While this is just the third time that such a thing has happened, each time involving Big Show, there are multiple instances where such a thing has happened in wrestling. I think it’s time to fire up the archive machine.

WWE has released a top ten list of instances when the ring has been broken one way or another. This includes the ropes being broken, the corner of the ring falling apart and the entire ring collapsing. It also covers all three major promotions over a wide span of time, which always makes the list feel more complete.

Opinion: That’s a rather incomplete list. Back in the WCW days, the Giant (later known as Big Show) broke the ring by bending a ring post forward. The previous two superplexes that collapsed the ring are nowhere to be seen either. If nothing else though, it does show you that there are multiple ways to break a ring and it’s been done many times over the years.
