Shortly after Finn Balor made his return from injury, WWE teased a feud between the first-ever Universal Champion and the ex-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bray Wyatt. Sadly though, it looks like that feud isn’t going to happen, at least not yet.

On Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked if WWE is still going with the idea of Bray vs. Finn coming out of Payback, and he responded by saying that plans have changed, and Finn will now work with The Miz, while Bray will work with Dean Ambrose.

“My impression is that last week they flip-flopped. It was gonna be Balor vs. Bray Wyatt, and it was gonna be Ambrose vs. Miz, and I think that they’ve flip-flopped it where it’s gonna be Balor vs. Miz, and Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt. We’ll see tomorrow night.”
