On Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that two finishes were changed at WWE Payback, as both Bayley and Neville were originally scheduled to win their respective matches.

“The finishes were clearly out yesterday, and in two cases the finishes changed,” said Meltzer. “In the [Neville vs. Austin Aries] match, Neville was supposed to win and then, I guess it would’ve been [on Sunday] they made the call to have Austin Aries win via DQ.

“And then in the Bayley vs. Bliss, I think it changed three times,” Meltzer continued. “It went from Bayley to Bliss… It changed four times actually. Bayley was gonna win, then Bliss was gonna win, then Bayley was gonna win, then Bliss was gonna win, and it ended up with Bliss winning.”

Opinion: Even though I’m a huge fan of Alexa Bliss, I think her beating Bayley in San Jose hurt the show. But, that’s typically what WWE does, as they like to have their babyfaces lose in their hometown because their mentality is that it generates a ton of heat.
