Tonight’s Payback show began with the United States Championship match between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, where if Y2J won, he’d join his ex-best friend over on the blue brand.

Most assumed that WWE’s G.O.A.T was going to do the favors tonight, as he’s getting ready to go back on tour with his band Fozzy. However, Jericho ended up regaining the US Title, which could lead to him dropping it back to Owens on Tuesday’s SmackDown.

In a video that was posted on WWE.com shortly following Jericho’s victory over Owens, Raw general manager Kurt Angle said goodbye to his fellow attitude era star. You can check out the video below.
