John Cena vs. The Rock was the match of two great generations of WWE and a dream match that so many never believed we’d ever see. The match was announced over a year before and held an entire year of hype.

While so many believed Cena would win “again”, The Rock caught him in a moment of arrogance and defeated him with a Rock Bottom. It’s widely regarded as the worst loss of Cena’s career, and it was a major statement about the quality of performer he was compared to The Rock.
