He received some criticism, but no one wanted to see Roman Reigns leave the company to fight for his life. The entire situation is just unfortunate, but the show must go on and his position in the company is chum in the water for the locker room. Some huge moves have already been made by WWE officials trying to replace Roman Reigns’ star power.
Braun Strowman and Elias have turned babyface and Dean Ambrose’s heel turn might be enough to weather the storm. However, it’s being reported by Rajah that WWE could be looking at NXT to help replace Roman’s loss of star power. No names are rumored as of now, but it’s very possible that more main roster call-ups will happen after very soon.

A lot of people would argue it’s better to utilize some of the talents that have been lost in the shuffle on Raw. Roman’s departure is an opportunity for Finn Balor or Bobby Roode to receive strong pushes on WWE television and become bigger stars. However, it isn’t difficult to see how great NXT’s roster has been over the past year and could help out.
Someone like Aleister Black can do wonders for the Raw roster with his unique appeal and unorthodox move-set. Ricochet or Adam Cole could both be excellent additions to the roster to bring fresh faces to the IC Title hunt down the line. Roman’s absence is for the long-term, so replacing his star power is not something that happens overnight.
In all likelihood, WWE officials will push Braun Strowman into a top position, rely on Ronda Rousey heavily, and bring Brock Lesnar back for more matches. A new path will present itself in time, but WWE should consider utilizing the roster that’s already there.
