WWE Making NXT Takeover Specials a Regular Thing For Major WWE PPVs

Recently, it was announced that the next NXT Takeover special will be held the night before “Survivor Series” in Toronto, Canada.

NXT Takeover: Toronto is going to keep the tradition going of NXT producing excellent shows for the WWE Network. WWE has gotten the message and are doubling down on Takeover specials.

According to a report from CageSideSeats.com, WWE is planning to have an NXT Takeover special the night before a major WWE PPV making the entire weekend an extravaganza.

More specifically, the “big four” WWE PPVs are the “Royal Rumble,” Wrestlemania, “Summerslam,” and “Survivor Series. WWE is planning to set up a Takeover special for all four of those PPVs.

Wrestlemania and “Summerslam” have already done this, and “Survivor Series” is happening in November. This news means that there will be an NXT Takeover event this January at the “Royal Rumble.”

The “Royal Rumble” will be in Los Angeles this year, so NXT Takeover: LA is most likely going to be announced during NXT Takeover: Toronto.

The fact is that NXT is still growing and expanding, so this is a natural progression to continue pushing Takeover specials and make an entire weekend of major WWE PPVs.
