For a long time, Daniel Bryan was counting the days until his contract with WWE finally expired and he’d be able to wrestle again. The WWE Universe is thrilled to have Bryan back wrestling in a WWE ring again, but he’s been wrestling for two months now. Aside from a few cool matches, he really hasn’t done anything substantial on WWE television.
The feud with Big Cass will conclude tomorrow night at Money in the Bank and then he should be continuing his rivalry with The Miz for Summerslam. However, that could be the last match of his WWE career unless Bryan can agree to terms with the company for a new deal. It’s been rumored that a lot of issues have arisen during their negotiations.

Previously, it’s been reported that John Cena advised Bryan to seek representation and there have been rumors of him attempting to add a creative control clause to his new deal. Whatever the two parties have been discussing, it’s known that Bryan has yet to sign a new contract and it’s now being reported there could be another big problem.
According to RingSideNews, the two sides could be disagreeing on the number of years and money in the deal. Recently, Sasha Banks, The Miz, and Kevin Owens have signed new deals for five years. Daniel Bryan might not be looking for a deal that long. If he’s looking to sign for five more years, then he’s likely seeking as much money as possible.
The fact is that Daniel Bryan could be negotiating his last contract in wrestling. A five-year deal would make him 42 years old when it’s over. After being stuck with WWE for almost three years when he could have been wrestling, it’s understandable why he may be skeptical to sign a longer deal like that without some unique perks for safety’s sake.
