At “Survivor Series,” SmackDown is putting a lot on the line. The IC title could go to Raw if Sami Zayn defeated Dolph Ziggler, which would leave the brand without a midcard championship. In that situation, what would SmackDown do without a midcard title?
Of course, the Cruiserweight Championship and the division are most likely coming to the brand. However, WWE rules have been specific that anyone on the roster must be under 215 pounds. That would leave a lot of SmackDown’s roster without direction.
The belief is that if Sami Zayn captures the IC title next Sunday, he’ll quickly be traded over to SmackDown for The Miz or another WWE Superstar so Raw doesn’t have to deal with having two midcard titles and SmackDown isn’t left without one.
My question is what happens to The Miz on Raw? He’s doing some of the best work of his career on SmackDown, so why bring him to Raw where he’ll get lost in the shuffle?
The trade would be great for Sami Zayn because he’s been stuck on Raw, the feud with Ziggler could continue, and he’d get many more chances on SmackDown than he would on Raw. It just seems risky to do title changes or make trades at this point in the year.
