At NXT Takeover: The End, Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor in NXT’s first-ever Steel Cage match, but that’s what happened during the event.

There have been a lot of rumors about Finn Balor’s future and it’s natural for a live crowd to acknowledge “the end” of an era and salute the superstar before he moves on to other pastures.

This is in no way a confirmation that Finn Balor will be making his main roster debut on Monday night, at “Money in the Bank” or any time soon as of this writing.

However, Balor has laid out and in pain as NXT Takeover: The End came to a close on the WWE Network last night after Finn took a Muscle Buster from the top rope.

After the cameras went off, Balor finally made it to his feet and climbed the cage to interact with the fans. The ovation for him was huge with a “thank you” chant as well as a “see you Monday” chant from the NXT crowd.
