This morning, there was a report that Seth Rollins was expected to be the winner of the Fatal Four Way and potentially have a face turn on Monday Night Raw last night.
Most people were curious how WWE would be able to achieve both goals at the same time. The fact is that they couldn’t. Kevin Owens is the new WWE Universal Champion, but the return of Triple H changed everything.
As Owens, Reigns, and Rollins fought to the death to become the new WWE Universal Champion. The crowd in Houston chanted “This is Awesome” without a clue who would win the match.
That was until Triple H delivered the Pedigree to Reigns on the outside, which led to his elimination moments later. It seemed that Rollins had it in the bag before he suffered the same fate from The Game.
Kevin Owens is the new WWE Universal Champion and Triple H is back on Raw. Where things are going from here is anyone’s guess based on how unpredictable the end of Raw was, but we have an idea of what’s next.
The most obvious way this is going to go is Seth Rollins vs. Triple H, which was derailed by the former’s knee injury last year. Next week’s edition of Raw is must-see and SmackDown has a lot to prove tomorrow night.
