TNA is in an interesting place as a company because they are currently changing the way they do things when it comes to talent relations and the contracts offered to top guys.

After the entire AJ Styles situation, TNA decided it was a good idea to lock up Jeff Hardy for the long-term, but now the company is planning on making more changes to talent contracts going forward.

Some of those changes include any talent that has re-signed or signed very recently with the promotion will be receiving guaranteed money and a regular paycheck every two weeks.

A great advantage of signing with TNA for independent talents is the ability to book with other promotions since the company isn’t forcing them to sign non-compete clauses.

However, TNA will not be paying bonuses for any indie show worked if the talent has a new contract. The company will also be collecting the booking fees for the signed talent and be assigning them to other promotions themselves.

These terms are only for new talents, so most of the roster are still dealing with the terms of the old contracts, which are on a pay-per-appearance agreement. The lack of guaranteed money and issues with the regular paycheck will continue to be a long-term problem for TNA.
