After SmackDown Live last night, seven out of eight participants have been selected for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The New Day still holds the eighth spot but WWE officials have yet to reveal which member will fill the final spot in the match.
According to a report from CageSideSeats, WWE officials are not planning to reveal if it will be Xavier Woods, Big E, or Kofi Kingston until the PPV event. The mystery will not only create intrigue heading into Money in the Bank but the response from the WWE Universe should show the company who the fans want to see compete for the briefcase.

On paper, Big E is the logical choice. It was reported that WWE officials are considering a singles push for him. Giving him the opportunity to compete for Money in the Bank could be the first step to establish him as a singles star. Big E is also a former NXT and IC Champion. It wouldn’t take much to take him to the next level of the WWE ladder.
Kofi Kingston has more experience and accolades than Big E or Xavier Woods. He’s been on the cusp of the main event before, but Kofi has also participated in multiple Money in the Bank Ladder Matches. Many people would argue that he’s had his chances, but he might just need to be pushed at the right time to finally break through to the next level.
Xavier Woods might be the third option for most people. However, he has never had the opportunity to establish himself as a singles competitor. Woods is solid in the ring, great on the mic, and is likable. Given the chance, he could be an excellent midcard babyface.
