4. Triple H vs. The Undertaker
Wrestlemania 17, 27, 28
As much as there was Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker, there was equally Triple H vs. The Undertaker. The two had done battle in a great match at Wrestlemania 17 that The Undertaker won. It would take a decade before the rematch of The Deadman and The Game.
After Shawn Michaels had failed and was forced to retire at the hands of The Undertaker, it was Triple H’s turn to end The Streak a year later. Triple H’s goals were not just to end The Streak, but to end The Undertaker. Triple H had us believing that it is going to end. It was Zeus and Hades fighting it out on Mount Olympus.
These two would do battle for the next two years and fight to the brink of death at Wrestlemania 27 with no rules and at Wrestlemania 28 inside Hell in a Cell. The Cell’s two greatest competitors fought it out for Wrestling immortality, but The Undertaker would best Triple H for a third time to define his career.
