This Sunday at “Extreme Rules,” Kalisto will defend the United States Championship against Rusev. It’ll be the first time in many months that the US title will be defended during the actual show rather than the kickoff show.
Kalisto vs. Rusev is an interesting dynamic that will be fun to watch on Sunday, but WWE is already looking and planning ahead for the next development of their feud.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, there is some talk backstage among WWE officials about finding a female talent to team with Kalisto and set up mixed tag team matches between them and Lana and Rusev.
Lana has been working very hard to train and get better in the ring, so the powers that be are trying to find a female talent for her to work with and give her a feud on television.
It’s obvious that WWE is working hard to find new female talent for the WWE Network tournament that they’re planning. However, they could also select from within and give a female on the main roster the spot.
It’s going to be interesting to see what happens on Sunday because even if this just turns out to be a rumor, it seems that WWE is planning for the feud between Kalisto and Rusev to last for a while longer.
