WWE is keeping the string of releases going, with another announcer being let go by the company earlier today.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has released Alex Reyes, who was hired back in October 2015 to be a part of the NXT commentary team. Reyes is the third announcer to leave the company in the last month, with Rich Brennan and Kyle Edwards being the other two.

Reyes has been a lifelong WWE fan, and had been trying to break into the business as an announcer since 2004. As a student at Boston University, he would continuously send WWE demos of his work hoping for an opportunity to work with the company.

Prior to coming to WWE, Reyes worked with Brennan at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion, as well as with Lone Star Championship Wrestling in Texas. He also spent time announcing for the Harlem Globetrotters before heading to WWE.

This makes 11 total employees that have been released by WWE in the past month, with notable names such as Zeb Colter, Santino Marella, King Barrett, and Damien Sandow.

You can find an article about Reyes’ career before heading to WWE at this link.

Editor’s Note:

It sounds like with Reyes’ extensive career will allow him to find another job quickly. We wish him the best of luck in everything that he does!
