Some time ago, there was a rumor that WWE was planning a feud between The Club and The Shield for “Survivor Series” or for a later date.

That rumor was before the WWE Draft and brand split was announced, so it’s understandable that some plans would have to be postponed or even scrapped.

According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, top WWE officials and Vince McMahon are still interested in making a feud between The Club & The Shield work for WWE programming.

However, Vince McMahon wants The Club to be stronger than they are now, which will include better booking and possibly adding more members.

Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura have been rumored, but Finn Balor is much more likely to join them. Due to Vince’s logic, the idea for the feud has been put on the shelf until the right time.

Obviously, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns are in the middle of something, but a Shield reunion is expected sooner rather than later. It’ll just be several more months before it happens.

By the time The Club is “strong enough” and The Shield has been reunited, it’ll be interesting to see how that will work with the brand extension because it could be seen as Raw vs. SmackDown as well.
