Next week is going to be an intense week of WWE programming. There could be a WWE title change, a lot of tag teams could be broken up all because of the WWE Draft and brand extension.
There is going to be so much change over the next week that there is a lot of concern about what WWE’s plans are for the next week and several months of WWE programming to start everything off the right way.
According to CageSideSeats.com, WWE is still “juggling” with some major names over the past few weeks. It was revealed that both Nia Jax and Finn Balor are essentially confirmed for the main roster during the draft.
After the WWE Draft, Raw’s roster will be exclusive to appear on “Superstars” and SmackDown will have the same situation with “Main Event.” That’s fair considering how they’re taped and how they air.
As far as “Battleground” is concerned, the word is that WWE officials are treating the PPV as a “lead-in” for “Summerslam.” On paper, that means that WWE isn’t planning anything major for “Battleground.”
That’s odd considering the rumors that have been circling Dean Ambrose and the WWE Championship, but we’ll just have to see what WWE does over the next week. There’s nothing else to do but enjoy the ride.
How do you think WWE will handle the WWE Tag Team Championship after the brand split?
