Tonight, WWE will begin airing the “Cruiserweight Classic” series on the WWE Network. The tournament has been highly anticipated, and there is a lot of intrigue to see new and familiar stars compete in a WWE ring.

The Cruiserweight style has always been beloved and launched the WCW Cruiserweight title, which WWE brought back after purchasing WWE and was one of the most popular championships on WWE programming.

The title has been gone for a few years now, but there are many people who would like to see it back. For example, Daniel Bryan recently had a media call with The Fan Garage. He spoke about CWC debuting tonight and gave his opinion on the Cruiserweight Championship returning to WWE.

You can read the full interview right here. Below is what Bryan had to say:

Should WWE bring back the Cruiserweight Championship?

“One of the things that I think we will see is that some of these guys who are only 160 lbs., which might be 75 kgs, they are amazing and people want to see them. So, I wouldn’t be surprised, especially with the brand extension set to come, that the WWE does restart the Cruiserweight championship.”
