The former NXT Champion Samoa Joe has had a fantastic run in NXT over the past year. Since his debut, he’s been one of the top performers for the brand, which should come to the surprise of no one.

Many would argue Balor vs. Joe is the biggest rivalry in NXT history to date, and his most recent match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II against Shinsuke Nakamura is a huge passing of the torch for NXT’s next chapter.

Although many have put down the idea of Samoa Joe being in WWE development, including WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, who believes Joe should have been on the main roster over a year ago.

According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, it seems that the wait to see Samoa Joe on Raw or SmackDown is almost over. The word is that Joe will be on WWE’s main roster sooner rather than later.

There are a lot of possibilities for Joe considering what happened in Brooklyn over the weekend, but the expectation is Samoa Joe would be exclusive to the SmackDown brand, which opens several doors to him.

For example. Samoa Joe could face AJ Styles, challenge Dean Ambrose for the WWE Championship, or even give the WWE Universe a dream match with John Cena in the coming months.
