Rumor Killer: Bobby Roode Did Not Make NXT Debut During Last Night’s Tapings

Ever since leaving TNA, Bobby Roode’s status in NXT has been up in the air. The NXT Universe have been awaiting his debut, but Eric Young beat him to it a few weeks ago.

Earlier this month, Roode essentially confirmed that he has signed with NXT, but that hasn’t been confirmed by the company. Now, we’re waiting for his debut or any update, and that led to some fans getting antsy last night.

Before the rumor goes any further, Roode did not make his debut during last night’s television tapings that will air before and after NXT Takeover: Revenge.

During those tapings, there were a few people from Full Sail University that started the rumor that a backstage segment took place with Roode, and he had arrived in NXT. A few websites obviously picked up on what they thought was news at the time.

Bobby Roode complicated the situation by tweeting the following the day before:

The truth is that we don’t know what is going on with bobby Roode at this time. It’s not even confirmed if he has signed with NXT. Honestly, the possibility of him turning up on the main roster isn’t out of the question either.
