At “Battleground,” Dean Ambrose will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match.
After Roman’s suspension, there is a lot of extra hype going into this match despite the WWE Universe wanting to see a match between all three members of The Shield for years.
According to a report from RingSideNews.com, Ambrose may be walking into “Battleground” the WWE Champion, but he won’t be walking out the WWE Champion.
Dave Meltzer claimed that the plan going into “Summerslam” is Reigns vs. Rollins II, but the question is if it will be for the WWE Championship. He didn’t mention Ambrose at all, which is not a good sign.
It’s unclear if Reigns’ suspension has changed WWE’s plans for that match like they did at “Money in the Bank,” but there is a strong possibility that Reigns or Rollins walks out of “Battleground” the new WWE Champion.
At the moment, we’re expected Reigns and Rollins to be the two top stars of Monday Night Raw with AJ Styles and John Cena as the two top guys for SmackDown. Where does Dean Ambrose fit into WWE’s plans?
