Ric Flair has run into some trouble recently, but few can doubt his role and his influence in getting Charlotte over even more as a heel and the WWE Women’s Champion.

Charlotte doesn’t necessarily need her father with her at ringside, but it’s no doubt helpful, and he adds a lot of history and layers to her character, especially as the champion of the Women’s division.

Recently, The Nature Boy spoke with MLive.com to promote the Motor City Comic-Con where The Four Horsemen are set to make an appearance.

You can read the full interview right here. Below is what Flair had to say about how long he will continue to appear by Charlotte’s side in WWE:

How long will he stay with Charlotte on WWE television?

“I have no idea how long this will last. Charlotte is flying high right now. I don’t think she needs me, but it’s a good storyline for TV. She doesn’t need me to be successful. She has people booing her, which is hard to do. Next to Stephanie McMahon, she’s probably the hottest bad girl in the company. She’s got heat and it’s made the whole division better. It makes it more fun for the audience and the wrestlers competing in the matches. That’s what we had for years with the Horsemen. Fans hated The Four Horsemen.”
