Back at Wrestlemania 30, the wrestling world exploded when Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker to break his Wrestlemania Undefeated Streak that lasted for twenty two years.
Of course, the match and moment “The Streak” was broken has been quickly mythologized over the past two years, or has it?
During the latest “An Evening with Paul Heyman” show from Glasgow, the advocate for Brock Lesnar talked about the famous theory that The Undertaker wasn’t supposed to lose at Wrestlemania 30.Heyman said, “Is it me screwing with you or am I telling you something you’re not supposed to know?”
He suggested that “if” Undertaker was originally meant to win his match with Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30, the only reason he didn’t is because Brock Lesnar beat him so badly and pinned him in such a way that he couldn’t kick out and “The Streak” was broken.
If that were the case, WWE wouldn’t be able to fire Lesnar because he had beaten “The Streak” and it all would have been for not. It’s also a logical explanation as to why Lesnar’s music didn’t play immediately after he on the match and why Undertaker collapsed once he got behind the curtain.
