Tonight is WWE’s Fastlane PPV. Earlier this year, there was a report that WWE wanted to make “Fastlane” a far more important PPV between “Royal Rumble” and Wrestlemania. They’ve succeeded and the anticipation for tonight is at a fever pitch.

The main event of tonight’s show is the Triple Threat match between Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns. The winner will go on to face Triple H in the main event of Wrestlemania 32.

As of this writing, Roman Reigns is expected to win the match. Bray Wyatt is expected to interfere and force the feud between himself and Lesnar. No one knows what Ambrose will be doing after tonight.

Reigns winning has been the end game from the beginning, and WWE has been smart to book Lesnar vs. Wyatt, but why should Ambrose be left in holding the bag while the others go on to big feuds at Wrestlemania?

What if there is another finish for tonight’s match that will allow all three men to benefit on the Road to Wrestlemania?

In my opinion, the best scenario for tonight’s main event is for Wyatt to interfere and cost Lesnar the match, but rather than just have Ambrose get pinned by Reigns after a Spear, why not have Ambrose and Reigns double pin Lesnar?

On paper, no one has pinned or made Lesnar submit since he broke The Streak. Sure, Undertaker “beat” him at Summerslam, but that was a mess of a finish. Lesnar getting pinned by two tops guys isn’t going to hurt him at all, and the blame will go to Wyatt.

WWE has the entire month of March to build for Wrestlemania. A short feud between Ambrose and Reigns to determine the number one contender continues the story they’ve been on about who is better and gives them both momentum going into Wrestlemania.

WWE may change their minds and let Ambrose win if the crowd gets behind him enough; it’s happened before. Reigns will probably win anyway, but Ambrose would have been feuding with the next WWE Champion, he’s going to look great going into Wrestlemania.

It’s the best scenario because it benefits all three men over the next six weeks and on the grandest stage of them all. Tonight, Ambrose and Reigns should double win Lesnar.
