On Raw this week, The Shining Stars got a surprising upset victory over Enzo Amore and Big Cass, which a lot of people in the WWE Universe are scratching their heads over.
On paper, one loss shouldn’t hurt Enzo and Cass. It’s also a good idea to build up Primo and Epico in Raw’s tag team scene, but it’s a confusing booking decision to make for many reasons.
No offense, but The Shining Stars have gotten lackluster reactions and have nothing as far as momentum goes, which is why WWE thought it was a good idea for Enzo and Cass to put them over.
That makes sense, but the question is why would you use your most popular tag team to put over a new team? Isn’t that exactly why WWE has been utilizing enhancement matches and booking interesting teams?
It just seems unnecessary to take some of Enzo and Cass’ momentum that they’ve earned just to put it on The Shining Stars, who the WWE Universe has shown little interest in thus far.
Of course, Enzo and Cass can take one loss, but it’s not just going to be the one loss. That could be seen as a fluke, which means the feud will continue and that means more losses for Enzo and Cass.
How does losing to another team just to build them up help the most popular tag team on Raw become WWE World Tag Team Championship contenders just as Anderson and Gallows are about to win the title from The New Day? It’s a questionable decision by the powers that by, in my opinion.
Do you think Enzo and Big Cass should take the WWE Tag Team Championship from The New Day?
