Seth Rollins has claimed that no one can touch him inside a WWE ring. On paper, he’s got a strong point. In terms of match quality and overall talent, there are few in the entire industry who can even make that claim.
He’s in the 1% of performers in wrestling, but there is a lot of negative talk about him being an unsafe worker since Finn Balor’s injury was confirmed yesterday.
Rollins has been involved with some accidents. Over the past year or so, he’s broken John Cena’s nose on Raw, has taken a lot of the blame for ending Sting’s career, and now he’s taken out Balor for six months.
Few people are going to argue against his talent, but he’s had some serious issues with protecting his opponents in the past. Balor’s is particularly bad because his star was hugely on the rise.
It doesn’t matter if you’re the best wrestler on the planet if no one wants to work with you out of fear that he could put you on the shelf next, which is a huge concern.
Obviously, Rollins isn’t doing anything on purpose, but he’s got some work to do. A lot of people are claiming he’s unsafe, but it’s not a fact yet. He’s just got to be less reckless.
Do you believe that Seth Rollins is an unsafe wrestler?
