It was revealed at the beginning of Monday Night Raw that Stephanie McMahon had chosen Mick Foley as her General Manager when she takes over the Raw brand for good.
Mick Foley is an excellent choice to be the General Manager of Raw. He comes from a different era, but he is still beloved and respected by the WWE Universe.
As a side note, DDP Yoga is doing wonders for him. Excellent work, Mr. Foley. Back on topic, Foley may be a great choice, but you have to wonder if WWE made a mistake not selecting NXT’s GM William Regal.
On paper, Regal is the perfect guy for the GM role in NXT. He’s doing a fantastic job, so why would he need to be replaced and moved to Raw to become a GM for Stephanie?
Typically, if you’re good at your job for a long time, you get a promotion, right? Well, WWE just missed a chance to promote Regal. He’s not as fun as Foley, but there is a grace to him that could have worked with Stephanie.
In the end, WWE probably made the right call to pick Foley over Regal or most other choices, I just hope some people realized the great job Regal does with the role in NXT. He should have at least been considered.
Do you think William Regal could have done a good job as Raw’s GM?
