The WWE Universe remains hopeful The Lunatic Fringe can recover in time before the biggest party of the summer. His timetable set him up for a big return in late August or early Septemeber. Even if Dean Ambrose were medically cleared before Summerslam, it’s likely that WWE officials would keep him off WWE television until after the event.
Despite the likelihood of Ambrose missing Summerslam, there is some good news about his injury status. According to a new report from PWInsider, he’s been hanging around the WWE Performance Center in Orlando recently. It’s unclear if he’s been getting in the ring, doing physical therapy, or something else. but it’s a good sign for his WWE return.

The expectations are that when The Lunatic Fringe returns to WWE television, it will be on Monday Night Raw. He’s expected to reunite with Seth Rollins for a minute, but after establishing himself again. The WWE Universe believes he’s turning heel and the odds it will happen before Survivor Series are high. He could also wait until the Royal Rumble.
Dean Ambrose has been an excellent heel for the company over the past four years, but a huge injury has a strange impact on a wrestler’s career. For example, Finn Balor came back after missing seven months and did not undergo any changes to his character. All due respect to Balor, but he has been floating around in the midcard for the last year.
The WWE Universe doesn’t want to see the same thing happen to Dean Ambrose. A lot of people believed he would be the top heel to come out of The Shield. That turned out to be Seth Rollins, but it’s possible it could still be Ambrose if WWE pulls the trigger on a heel turn once Dean makes his return later this year. Unfortunately, only time will tell.
