Tonight’s the night. During tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Bill Goldberg will make his return to WWE programming for his first appearance inside a WWE ring for over twelve years. Needless to say, the anticipation from the WWE fans is at an apex.

Brock Lesnar is not expected to make an appearance on Raw tonight so that Goldberg will be sharing the ring with Paul Heyman. While a match between the two heavyweights is imminent, no details have leaked on what WWE is planning for Goldberg’s return.

According to a report from CageSideSeats, WWE’s plans for tonight are for Goldberg to be the one who lays down the challenge to face Brock Lesnar at “Survivor Series,” which will likely be answered next week when Lesnar returns to Raw in Minneapolis.

It’s possible that Heyman could do the honors for Brock on the spot like he has done in the past, but this is something WWE is going to want to drag out over the coming weeks, so Lesnar will likely do the honors of accepting himself next week on Raw.

As far as keeping Goldberg busy over the coming weeks, there is speculation that he will work with a low card wrestler to prove that the Spear and Jackhammer combination is as lethal today as it was in his prime.

Do you think Goldberg and Lesnar could have more than one match over the next few months?
